One of our favorite initiatives every year is giving back at Christmas time to children who may not be able to celebrate the holiday season the way most people do. It is also one of the most fun events for our volunteers every year as we welcome our Red Deer Firefighters from Local 1190 and their families to come shopping at Toys’R’Us and purchase toys paid for by the charity that we then donate at the Christmas Wish Breakfast in partnership with the Red Deer Christmas Bureau and Red Deer Salvation Army. We have been fortunate enough to donate about $7500 worth of toys each year and are looking forward to continuing with the tradition this year.
